Our Motto

We held a competition to see who could come up with the best motto for our library.

It was a difficult choice, but the winning motto was…

“It’s only a page away" by Mackenzie (Year 6)

Book Week

Week 5 in Term 3 is Book Week. We are going to dress up in Safari costumes and enjoy a visit from 2 local children's authors.

Here we see Karen Robertson talking about her new book "Treasure Kai" to our K-2 students

Author in Residence

This year the Author in Residence program will be held in the library. Alison Peters will be working with students in Years 2-6 in the library at lunchtime on Tuesdays.

We look forward to a fun term of writing wonderful stories!

Popular Children’s Authors

· Dave Pilkey writes books for boys, and has written the famous ‘Captain Underpants,’ series for ages 4-12

· Emily Rodda writes books for everyone, and has written the exciting ‘Deltora Quest,’ series, the ‘Raven Hill Mysteries,’ series and more for ages 3+

· Roald Dahl writes books for extensive age groups, and has written these favourites: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, The Twits, Matilda and more! For ages 2 and over.

· Paul Jennings writes books for everyone, and has written bizarre stories such as ‘Around the Twist’.

· J.K Rowling has written the magical ‘Harry Potter’ series for kids that have a nerve for adventure.

We think you should try these authors!

The Parent Section

Our library has a selection on parenting. If you want tips on raising children and becoming closer to them, come and look in the parent section of our library to find a book suitable for you.
